Rebecca “Becky” Ann Kessler, age 74, of Greensboro passed away March 27, 2023 at Beacon Place Hospice.
Becky was born March 4, 1949 in Madison, Wisconsin the daughter of the late Raymond John Kessler and Pauline Amanda Calhoun (Kessler). She is survived by her siblings, Cora Rund, John Kessler (Barb Karlen), Vicki Kessler (Kent Sandstrom), and Chris Arnold (Ron); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Becky obtained a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Wisconsin Madison and later attended classes at UNC Greensboro. Becky was an artist and educator. Later in life, she worked at Barnes and Noble and Whole Foods.
Becky had many friends who loved her deeply. She was well known for her buoyant, generous spirit. She loved to laugh, feed the birds and plant flowers. She was active in the community, working on projects that fostered connection between people. She was a founding member of Deep Roots Co-op, and an advocate for healthy living.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Alamance Presbyterian Church on April 17 at 2:00 p.m.
Memorials to Becky may be offered in acts of kindness, service to others, appreciation of beauty, dancing, and living joyfully.
