Julia Dorenda Kaye Wrenn-Mays, of Burlington, North Carolina, passed away Sunday January 5th, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
She was born the 28th of February, 1959 at Alamance Memorial Hospital, in Burlington, to William David and Lessie Wrenn. Julie was married to Edward Harrison “Bud” Mays Jr. on April 17, 1976. She is survived by her husband, her two children, Misty Dawn Mays-Humphries and Edward Harrison Mays III, her mother and father, and her two brothers, Roger Lee Wrenn and Charles Frank Wrenn, all of Burlington, North Carolina. She is preceded in death by her brother William Dale Wrenn of Burlington, North Carolina.
Julie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a passion for gardening, clogging, caring for the elderly, and caring for her family. Julie had a bright and energetic personality and was known to never meet a stranger. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.
The funeral for Julie will be Thursday January 9th at Fellowship Baptist Church in Burlington. The church is located at 2744 Maple Avenue Burlington, North Carolina. There will be visitation from 1-2pm. The funeral service will begin at 2pm. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington following the service. Funeral and interment will be presided by the Rev. Kenneth Simpson.
