“PA, Bob” Robert A. Rex, 73, of Greensboro NC, Went to be with his Lord
and Savior, on August 1, 2019 at Beacon Place Palliative Care in
A Celebration of his Life will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday August 17th at the
Piedmont Triad Church, 606 Millwood School Rd. Greensboro, NC, 27409
with Evangelist Dave Peickert, officiating. We ask that everyone please wear causal dress to the service. Cremation was appreciatively
done by Triad Cremation and Funeral Services.
Bob was born in Waukesha WI. To Beatrice and Robert Rex on 11/29/1945.
He married Carol Jean Schlieve on 9/18/65 in Waukesha, at First Assembly
of God. He graduated from Waukesha County Technical College. He
worked as a handyman, mentor, advocated for people with life controlling
issues and learning and cognitive disabilities. Bob worked for as long as he
could until he was diagnosed with cirrhosis in 2018. Bob loved his Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ and studied the Bible ceaselessly. Bob was also a
dedicated member of his church and embraced his church family. Bob was a
mentor, guide and teacher to many, and loved his wife Carol and his entire
family dearly. Bob also loved animals and had many, of all kinds, his entire
life; especially dogs.
Bob is preceded in death by Mother, Beatrice Hearron, Father, Robert C.
Rex, Step-father, Ottis Hearron, Brothers, Bill Rex and Jeff Hearron.
Bob is survived by: his Wife Carol Rex, Daughter Candy Vallejo and son-
in-law Charles Vallejo, Son, James Rex and daughter-in-law, Elaine Rex.
Bob’s brothers and sisters: Charles Rex, Judy Rex, and Al Hearron.
Bob’s Grandchildren: Brianna Rex, Kalsey Rex, Tamara Rex, Dylan Rex,
Katie Russell and Daniel Meadows and great-Grandchildren, Liliana
Arneson, Mason Arneson and Liam Holland.
Memorials may be given to Bob’s Wife, Carol J. Rex.
The family of Bob Rex wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Heartlands
