Obituary

Barbara Sue Bowlin (Wall) Roberts, 77,  went to be with Jesus on June 10, 2022 in her Greensboro, NC home while surrounded by those she loved so dearly. Barbara was born to Clifton and Doris Bowlin on January 30, 1945 in Forsyth County, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Wall, second husband, Kenny Roberts, sister, Marie Capps, and parents, Clifton and Doris Bowlin.

In addition to being the most amazing and dedicated mother to her five children, Tammy Wall, Sherry Wall Harvell, Lisa Wall Hicks (Tommy), Jennifer Moyer, and Derek Roberts (Leigh Anne), Barbara was most affectionately known as “Nanny” to her ten grandchildren: Heather and  Jonathon Straughn, Paul Harvell Jr. and Haley Stewart, Sydney and Trace Hicks, KJ Ledford and Kayleigh Utterback, Amelia and Addison Roberts and three great-grandchildren, Hadley and Kylee Carnes and Marshall Harvell. Barbara is survived by sisters Betty Chaney, Wanda Colter, and Glenda Smith (Tommy), brothers Donald Bowlin, and Randy Bowlin (Juanita). 
Barbara will always be remembered for how well she loved her family and friends. She was one of the kindest women to ever walk this earth and made everyone she met feel special and appreciated. She truly never met a stranger and would always lift up others during their time of need. She embodied the fruits of the Holy Spirit and was an example to all on how to live a Godly life full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill, though she will always be in our hearts and live on in the precious memories of those she touched.
