Brian Leander Bass, 56, of Greensboro departed this life on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 unexpectedly.
He is survived by his wife, Sonia Bass, and his three children; Brian Antonio Bass (Candace) of Greensboro, Christopher Bass of Charlotte, NC, and Adina Bass of Greensboro, as well as two stepchildren; Edward Watson and Carmela “gummy bear” Watson of Kernersville. Nine grandchildren; his parents, Dr. Shelly R. Bass and Pastor Josephine Bass of Greensboro, Nc; five siblings Darryl Bass, Samuel Bass (Peggy), Alvin Bass (Stephanie), Regina Bass of Seattle, WA, and Gloria Bass of Burlington, NC. A close family friend Michael Miller (Omniya) of Greensboro; nine nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Brian, lovingly known as “Red”, has many talents. Having been taught by his father from a young age, he was a skilled brick mason. He remodeled home, performed landscaping and was a master wood craftsman creating beautiful and intricate carved designs. He once said he learned about love from his time spent training dogs. His humor and friendly nature impacted everyone he encountered. He never met a stranger. He was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
A private service for the immediate family will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Triad Cremation and Funeral Service, 2110 Veasley St., Greensboro, NC.
