Brian Neal

February 17, 1965 ~ February 4, 2020 (age 54)


Brian Neal, affectionately known as “Hank/Nino” was the son of the late Eddie and Gracie Neal. He was born   February 17, 1965 in Greensboro, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life Tuesday, February 4, 2020. 

Brian was educated in the Guilford County school system and graduated from Walter Hines Page High school in June of 1983. He then began his career at Gladney and Howell Brick Masonry as a skilled brick layer where he loved to brag about his craft and later on adopted landscaping. He enjoyed the outdoors and working with his hands. 

Brian believed in living life on his own terms. He was very sociable and one who never met a stranger.  He was an avid sports fan. In his adolescent and young adult years he played baseball for the Khalif Temple team and he also loved to pitch horse shoes. He was a Red Skins fanatic and in his mind the Red Skins was going to the Super Bowl every year. Yes, if he ever was the victor in any sport he owned his “bragging rights.” 

Brian was preceded in death by his father Eddie Neal and his mother, Gracie Neal. Also three sisters: Dorothy Summers, Earlene Patrick and Azelle Surgeon.

He leaves to cherish his memories three brothers: Coy Neal(Benita),Garrett Neal (Donna), Sterling Neal(Erica). Two sisters: Linda Gregory(Jerry) and Ophelia Welch(Michael)      

Eight Nieces: Tywanda Neal, Shywanda Surgeon, Michelle Burford, Juanita Morehead, Angela Gregory, Samiya Neal, DeAnna Davidson and Theresa Walker. Four nephews: Ricky Gregory, Edward Neal, Bruce Alston and George Jenkins and a host of great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 with a visitation prior at 12:30-1:00 at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service 2110 Veasley St. Greensboro, NC 27407
