Charles Buford Hundley, 85, of Greensboro departed his earthly home on Saturday, July 24, 2021.
Buford was a very loved Father, Grandfather, Brother and Friend. He was a meticulous musician. He would often play one of his guitars and a harmonica in harmony simultaneously. He was a musician and member of True Light Baptist Church in Greensboro for more than 25 years. He loved his music! He also loved his family. One of the highlights of his year was putting on a fireworks display for his grandchildren every 4th of July. He loved the outdoors, feeding the birds, growing gardens, and taking his beloved companion, Ginger, for walks. He had a great love and appreciation for God’s creation.
Buford was in the business of installing awnings, carports, storm windows, and storm doors. He loved his work and wanted everything perfect. He had been retired for approximately 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his lifelong love and wife, Barbara Ann Hundley and his baby daughter, Tammy Denise Hundley.
He is also preceded in death by his Mother, Allie and Father, Noble; Sisters Sue Apple, Alice Oakes, Betty Caldwell, Peggy Chavis; Brother Jimmy Dale Hundley.
Buford is survived by his children Belinda Farmer (Jim), Chuck Hundley (Barbara), Kathy Compton (Dave), Grandchildren Christy Bowman (Chris), Chuckie Hundley, Holly Barrios, David Compton III, Adam Compton; Great Grandchildren Ryan Bowman, Grace Barrios, Abby Barrios; Sisters Geneva Britt, Shirley Bailey (Jerry), Linda Sneed, Vickie Adkins (Bud).
He is also survived by many precious nieces and nephews, his special friends Don and Carol, and his loyal German Shepherd Ginger.
A graveside, celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at Lakeview Memorial Park, Hwy 29 North, Greensboro, NC.
The family will meet at the home of Holly Barrios, 149 Forest Brook Lane, Reidsville, NC. 27320, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, July 27, 2021.
