Mr. James William Nantz (Jay), 78, of Browns Summit, NC peacefully passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Jay was born November 22, 1943 in Richmond, KY to the late James and Thelma Nantz.
Jay served in the Army for 7 years. He was a long-time employee of Division Eight Inc. in Greensboro where he enjoyed working and made many friends in his time there. Jay’s favorite hobbies were fishing and coin collecting. He will be remembered as a loving, sweet, funny, and one-of-a-kind man who will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith Nantz; daughters, Stacye Porter (Eric) and Tonja Mackey (Danny); son, Jason Nantz; his loving sisters, Lucy Walton, Beverly White, Trudy Johnson and Bonnie Gilstrap; brothers, Howard Nantz, Calvin Nantz, Perry Nantz and Danny Nantz; grandchildren, Tanner, Jackson, Lincoln and Griffen; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Nantz and brother Junior Nantz.
A service will be held at a later date.
