Katherine Rosalyn Williams

August 16, 1957 ~ October 2, 2021 (age 64)

Obituary

Katherine Rosalyn Williams, at 64 gained her wings on October 2nd 2021 with her daughter by her side holding her hand in Thomasville Medical Center in North Carolina.

Katherine was born August 16, 1957 at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx, NY to her late parents James and Catherine WIlliams. She is preceded in death by her oldest sister Estelle W. Williams, her oldest brother Frederick W. Williams  and her youngest brother, Kenneth Williams.

Katherine attended elementary school P.S. 107 in Jamaica, Queens, later attending Jr high 192 in Queens and then graduating from Far Rockaway High School. Prior to graduating high school she pursued a 15 year career as an resident assistant at Bellevue Hospital. Later she branched off to become a Family Advocate for Northside Mental Health in Tampa, Florida and a Family advocate for both children and adults at Mental Health Association in Hudson, NY.

Katherine's greatest accomplishment was having her daughter and becoming a Foster Parent. Which brought her great joy and happiness. Yvette is and always will be her everything. She was a phenomenal Foster Parent who was able to take in numerous children and raise them as her own. She had a specialty by giving them  love, nourishment and education. Well not only being their best advocate, she supported the parents' needs as well during their toughest times.

Katherine also had a passion when it came time to cooking. Once she stepped in a kitchen and put her heart and soul in that food it spoke for itself. Her meals were always like eating a Thanksgiving feast. You never left her house hungry, only full. It was times you felt like you never wanted to leave. She had a great vibe you wanted to hang around.

Katherine or as she would say Kathy with a “K”.  She enjoyed having great conversations with whomever crossed her path. She also provided a great listening ear to everyone. Her presence was always warm and welcoming. She loved having themed parties, loud music with some good ole dancing and most importantly family time with some good ole food.

Katherine leaves to cherish her wonderful memories: 1 daughter, 3 sons and 1 grandson; Yvette Robinson, Dante Williams, Davarie Williams, Ethan Kilmer and Chace Robinson. She also leaves 2 brothers and 5 sisters: James Williams, Revel Williams, Patricia Williams, Rose Marie Williams, Irene Williams, Loretta Williams and Te’Shonda Carter. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, aunts and uncles. She had so many close and best Friends there was no space to name just one, so just know each and everyone of you will forever hold a special place in her heart. And everyone will forever hold a great memory of Our Forever Angel, Fly High Queen Diva.
