Obituary
Randall Dean Weatherly, (RD, Randy), age 56, of Greensboro, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, March 25, 2021, after a lenghty battle with cancer.
He is survived by his son, Colby Dean Weatherly, and his mother, Brenda Peele Metz, of the home; sisters, Saundra Weatherly Caulder (Legrand), of Jacksonville, FL., and Elizabeth Metz Dial (Ken), of Tallahassee, FL. Also Surviving is a nephew, Matthew Caulder (Ann), of Jacksonville, FL. He has a host of other relatives surviving including Peeles and Weatherlys.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack F. Weatherly, and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Randy’s first love was his son. He never missed a soccer game or school event. His second love was woodworking, as he was a master carpenter. He was owner of RD’s Carpentry and Cabinets. You would never meet a man more hardworking than Randy. Years ago he built his own urn in which to be buried.
Randy never met a stranger, and as a result he had many lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, with Reverend Lawrence Clapp officiating, at Triad Cremation and Funeral Service, 2110 Veasley Street, Greensboro, NC 27407. Visitation at 11:00 a.m., and service at 12:00 p.m.
