Obituary
Robert W. Austin, 74, of Kernersville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, May 19, 2023.
Robert served his country for 17 years in the United States Army. After leaving the Army, he became employed at Lowes Home Improvement where he faithfully worked for 15 years. Robert considered all of his work associates his extended family. For many years he was a member of Linville Forest Church of Christ in Kernersville. He loved throwing darts, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda; his sons Dan Bradley his wife Amanda and son Truitt, Scott, and Robert Jr.; two sisters Diane and Sandra; seven grandchildren; and his Yorkie Lily Mae.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bert and Dolertta Austin; son Walter Bradley; daughter Tawnya; and brother Butchie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Linville Forest Church of Christ, 450 Linville Road, Kernersville, NC 27284.
