Sheryl Ann (Epling) Ward

October 12, 1956 ~ September 3, 2021 (age 64)

Obituary

Sheryl Ann Epling Ward, 64, of Greensboro, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on September 3, 2021.

She was born October 12, 1956, in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late Ray Epling and Juanita Epling.

Sheryl is survived by one daughter, Crystal Milan of Milwaukee, WI, one sister, Brenda Epling Bunner (Mark) of Greenville, SC, and one brother, Ron Epling (Dawn) of Easley, SC. She had several nieces and nephews as well as grand nieces and nephews that loved her.

Sheryl was a nurse and worked in many places. At the time of her death, she was employed by Bayada Home Health working in a wonderful home taking care of a special needs child who she loved and cared for dearly. If there were three words to describe Sheryl, they would be “larger than life.” She always laughed the first and the loudest. She lived her life with great gusto and endless curiosity. She was always there for her friends and family.

It saddens us greatly that this full-of-life person, our beloved sister, had her life cut short in the most shocking and unexpected way imaginable. We do find comfort in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I know all who knew her will grieve with us at this great loss. Thank you for loving Sheryl and for your prayers for our family.

There will be no formal funeral service, but we hope that her friends will gather in small groups when the time is right to remember what a wonderful person and friend she truly was to so many.
