Sylvia Ann Gwyn
August 18, 1949 - July 23, 2021

Graveside service for Sylvia Ann Gwyn, 71, of Richmond, Texas will be held Saturday, August 7th, 2021 at 10:00am at Burnett's Chapel United Methodist Church, 1201 Burnett's Chapel Road, Greensboro 27406.

Mrs. Gwyn was born August 18, 1949 in Danville, Virginia and passed away July 23, 2021 in Missouri City, Texas.  She was a devoted wife and mother.  She was strong in her faith, fierce in her love and loyal to her family.  In North Carolina , she was an active member of her church, Jamestown Church of God.  Part of her outreach ministry was crocheting blankets for hospitalized babies.  After moving with family to Texas, she was very active in the Fort Bend Seniors organization, where she gained a new loving family.

She is preceded in death by her father Rufus McBride and her parents Bob and Doris Tucker; her husband Phillip Gwyn; and her brother Tim Tucker.  

She is survived by her son Phylip Gwyn; her sisters Mary Greeson, Joan Zurlo and Shirley Davis;  as well as other loving family members and friends.  

Services for Mrs. Gwyn are being arranged by Triad Cremation and Funeral Service, 2110 Veasley Street, Greensboro 27407.  Flowers may be sent to the funeral service.

I love Sylvia so much.She always had love and listening ear for all.In life she gave her best as a cashier she was an influence to all.The love of her family has gotten her places and the love of God.Her eyes glowed when she talked of her son and all he does for her.She will always be remembered.My love ,hugs and prayers to family.

Sylvia is my second “little sister”.  Losing her is difficult but I can’t begrudge her heavenly family for welcoming her Home. She fought hard..never questioned God..and leaves us with precious memories. Love to all her family and friends…may we all find comfort.
